As stated in Tourism Strategy 2023, the increase of Turkey’s share in world tourism market is due to the spread of tourism geographically and throughout time and tourism product diversification. In this sense it is not different in terms of Izmir tourism. Considering the share of Izmir in tourism market (4.5%), increasing that proportion is directly related to diversification of tourism product and spread of tourism throughout the year. In this research, in accordance with this purpose, face to face interviews were made through structered questionnaire form with the leading stakeholders of Izmir tourism. The current existing state of Cruise Tourism in Izmir and what should be done in order to be a home port were analyzed. After decoding and analyses, the need for internationalizing the port and increasing the coordination among the stakeholders were found out.
