1356122133 Change of Maintenance Culture in Industrial Facilities

In this article, it is focused on importance of application different maintenance
methodologies in industrial facilities, for using assets with a more efficient way, as
a result of challenging competition. Increasing demand and supply need caused an
unavoidable increase in the number of equipment as a result of an increasing capacity
of facilities. During production and operations of equipment, reducing the failures
and increasing availability issues gets more and more important unavoidably. To
ensure availability issue mentioned above, provides an improvement in efficiency as
a reflection of production, especially in continuous production processes. Deficiency
of existing maintenance applications makes facilities use their labor force and assets
in an optimum way. Transition phase from corrective maintenance to Reliability
Centered Maintenance, needs a critical management process from the point of
change in maintenance culture. Transition to Reliability Centered Maintenance
culture means; more effective maintenance planning, increase of operations/process
reliability, profitability, investment capabilities and reputation. In addition to, it
reduces maintenance costs and ensures sustainable occupational health and safety
